As the Landscape Design and Build Production Foreman you will coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and managers, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. You will need to have a robust set of leadership skills and the ability to direct the work of others, all while making quick decisions. It is crucial that you are well-organized and favor safety above everything else.
Education requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience requirements
• 3+ years of experience working in landscaping and hardscaping required.
• 3+ years of managing and overseeing a crew of workers required.
• Ohio Certified Nursery Technician or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Must have advanced knowledge of landscape design/build procedures, equipment, and guidelines.
• Must have an understanding of all facets of the installation process.
• Must be in good physical condition and stamina.
• Must exhibit considerable use of arms and legs to accomplish the physical handling of materials.
• Must be competent in the use of equipment and tools, ranging from large earth-moving machines to hand tools.
• Report directly to Operations Manager and Production Manager.
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Adhere to schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
• Supervise and train workers while supporting and advancing company values and standards.
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards comply.
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
• Resolve onsite problems as they arise.
• Pass monthly, quarterly, and yearly Geenius exams.
• Report on progress to managers using the required time entry software.
• Properly clock in all of the crew and accurately record hours throughout the day.
• Record information using the time entry software throughout the day in real time.
• Code field receipts and paperwork correctly and turn into manager daily.
• Responsible for vehicle and equipment.
• Report any issues to managers, making sure trucks and equipment are parked and put away at the end of the day.
• Attend and contribute to assigned weekly company meetings.
• Ability to move one’s whole body to perform climbing, lifting, kneeling, balancing, walking, stooping, and repeatedly bending.
• Ability to move and handle material generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outside with regular exposure to varying weather conditions ranging from below zero temperatures to 100 plus temperatures.
• Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate and report effectively using the company means of communication, including Site Audit Pro.

Work hours
You should be available to work the following schedule:
• 50-55 hours a week, April through October.
• 25-45 hours a week, November through March.
• Available to work during winter months for snow removal.
